President Obama has done a fantastic job in steering this economy from complete collaspe to a future of growth? He inherited the worst economy since the 1930's. We are finally seeing job loss numbers being reduced which is a positive. the market is rallying with confidence and is up over 3200 point since he has been president. there are still many many more things to accomplish like reforming the banking industry, enacting stronger regulations, and creating more jobs...but the facts are clear...The Presidents plan along with Congress is working. It is undeniable. Agree?

Thirdly Ronald Regan turned the economy around though tax cuts within 6 months. Obama believes that the Government can take over all private business and run them which the Government can not do. I know a DOW of 14,000 was rough, but I think I could live with it and the unemployment rate in the 4s and 5s. The economy left for Obama wasn't due to Bush. It was due to the housing market collapse which in turn was due to poor government policy on mortgage lending. Mostly it was Democratic policy (why again does Barney Frank still have a job in any capacity beyond holding a red stapler in the basement?), but no one in government did anything to fix the problem before it was too late. If anything, economically Bush's big mistake were the bailouts and the stimulus right at the end of his last term. But Obama continued exactly such policies."

David S replied: "We had a stimulus package passed in Feb. It didn't save or create the jobs it was supposed to. It didn't keep unemployment from going above 8%. So now that the stimulus has been passed Obama says we have no more money. Some how we can still spend $1.3 trillion on a cost neutral health care plan though. When the market gets back to 12400 where it was when he promised to raise the capital gains tax some of the people who have lost more that 50% of their stock worth will be even. That will need another 3200 points. Now we are still losing quite a number of jobs each month and there is some question about the latest accounting. With all of the jobs we have lost and that were not saved by the stimulus we still need to create quite a number of jobs. People have to go back to work. People are running out of unemployment benefits. Where will the money come from to create the new jobs? Usually this money comes from the stock market where people risk their money when they invest. Will the money for new jobs come from taxes? Revenue is down. Will it come from the unemployed? The poor people? When you plan to raise the capital gains tax to at least 28% you have to consider a 28% capital gain breaking even. Not many companies today will show a combined stock price increase plus dividend of 28%. Nobody wants to invest in this environment. Making reckless campaign statements and promises have consequences and this economy we have is one of them."

chris w replied: "Melting Pot - style fondue Recipe French Appetizer Ingredients: Equal Parts (50-50) Sharp cheddar and Emmanthaler cheese (the emmanthaler will balance out the sharpness of the cheddar), enough for about 1 1/2 to 2 cups about 1/3 cup beer 1 clove garlic (optional) dash or two worchestireshire sauce about 1 teas. mustard powder dash cayenne pepper Bread cubes, apples, celery, carrots, etc. Directions: Get the beer very hot (enough to melt the cheese) and then add cheese, stirring to acheive the desired consistency. There are no rules here, just use your judgement to get a nice, creamy consistency and flavor). Add other ingredients and mix Here is their chocolate one. "
